The Sikh Genocide Petition will be handed to Navi Pillay, UN human rights chief by a delegation of rights group “Sikhs for Justice” (SFJ), All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) and Gurudwara representatives from Europe and North America.

UK: Sentencing in case related to attack on Kuldip Brar on 10 December

London, United Kingdom (October 15, 2013): It is learnt that a UK court has deferred the sentencing of four Sikhs, including one woman, to December 10, 2013. They were convicted of carrying out an attack on Indian Army’s retired Lt. General Kuldip Brar who had led the Indian army’s attack on Sikh Gurdwaras across Punjab and adjoining states in June 1984, including Darbar Sahib, Amritsar.

The recent episode of Pradhanmantri was on attack by Indian army on Sikh Gurdwaras including Harmandar Sahib in Amritsar in June 1984. The attack was ordered by contemporary Indian Prime Minsiter Indira Gandhi's regime and it was code named by Indian army as “Operation Blue Star”.
