Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) leader and Sri Anandpur Sahib MP Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra has strongly criticised Aam Aadmi Party chief and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal for allegedly defaming Punjab youth as ‘drug addicts’.
Chandumajra said that Arvind Kejriwal would be soon behind the bars for defaming Punjabi youth as the court has already framed the charges against him and other AAP leaders.
He alleged that Arvind Kejriwal has always played tactics of defaming others to remain in news but Punjabis would soon mend his “evil behavior”.
While talking to the press Chandumajra said that after failing to counter “development agenda” of Badal-BJP alliance Kejriwal was trying to defame Punjabis to meet their petty political interests.
Chandumajra maintained that dope test during police recruitments show that there was no drug addiction problem in Punjab.
He claimed that recent police recruitments have shown that only 1.27 per cent of 3.75 lakh youths were tested positive and same has been reflected in the army recruitments.
On the other hand AAP has always been maintaining that drug abuse is a serious issue in Punjab and if voted to power they will breaking the supply chain of the drugs within one month, Badals have ruined Punjab by making it as “hub” of drugs and AAP would take it a challenge to curb the menace within one month of formation of government the party further added.
