Chandigarh: As per reports emanating from Nabha, Bargari Beadi case’s chief accused Mahinderpal Bittu was killed in New Nabha jail today.
As per some media reports Punjab police IG A. S. Rai has confirmed the incident.

A written statement issued by Punjab CM Office states that “the incident occurred around 5.15 pm, when Bittu was attacked by other inmates. He was rushed to Civil Hospital at Nabha, where he was declared brought dead”.

It further states: “initial investigations have revealed that Bittu (49), a resident of Faridkot, was attacked by Gursewak Singh and Maninder Singh, who were in jail in a murder case”.
