Faridkot: A shopkeeper, who is reportedly a follower of Dera Sauda Sirsa, was reportedly shot at by unidentified persons outside his shop at village Burj Jawahar Singh Wala in Faridkot district. According to the police Gurdev Singh, 35, was shot in the back of the head by the assailant soon after he opened his shop at around 5.30 am on June 13.
As per media reports the three men had come in a white Maruti Swift car that did not have a registration number plate. They asked Gurdev for soft drinks, and the moment he turned around to fetch the bottles, one of them shot him in the head.
All three managed to flee the spot after the incident.
The reasons behind the incident were not known yet.
