Gurdwara Kartar Kirtan Sahib demolished by the Indore Municipal Corporation in Madhya Pradesh (MP)

In a written statement issued on Sunday (copy available with the Sikh Siyasat News) SGPC chief Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar said that the administration should have provided for an alternate place in order to rebuild the Gurdwara Sahib but the administration did the wrong by not doing so. (Ess Gudwara Sahib nu toran ton pehlan prashasan nu Gurdwara Sahib layi jagah muhaiya karvauni chahidi ci, prantu ajeha na karke theek nahin kita gya).

He was reacting to demolition to Gurdwara Kartar Kirtan Sahib by the Indore Municipal Corporation in Madhya Pradesh (MP).

He said that India was a secular and democratic country and sentiments of people belonging to various religions and their religious places should be respected.

Prof. Badungar further said that he has written a letter to MP CM Shivraj Chauhan urging him to find a suitable solution keeping in view the feelings of the Sikhs.
