Mann Dal to contest DSGMC elections on Khalistan issue

Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab (December 23, 2012): As per reports the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) led by former MP S. Simranjeet Singh mann will contest the upcoming Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) elections. DSGMC elections are scheduled to be held on January 27, 2013. The announcement is this regard has reportedly been made by party president Simranjit Singh Mann.

S. Mann reportedly said that though the party had decided to quit electoral politics due to lack of funds, but it would contest Delhi Gurdwara elections.
“Our party will play a pro-active role in bringing youth back to Sikhism fold and making them aware of Sikh Rehat Maryada,” S. Mann reportedly added.
He said that the Mann Dal would contest the elections on the issue of “Khalistan”.
He reportedly said that even though they have quit electoral politics but they will always safeguard the interests of religion and community.
