The Punjab Police, it seems, is gearing up to book him in multiple cases”, The Tribune (TT) notes.

Jagidh Bhola was reportedly sent back to the Nabha jail on Jan. 15 after the expiry of 8 days of his police remand by the Jalandhar police in a case of heroin seizure, he was again brought to Phagwara on a production warrant in yet another case.

Inderbir Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, Kapurthala, reportedly said Jagdish Bhola had allegedly supplied a weapon to Rajinder Singh Mintu, who had allegedly killed ASI Gurdev Singh in the city on March 31 last year.

“Earlier, neither the Jalandhar rural CIA staff, which had brought Bhola on remand nor the Phagwara police had, prior to Bhola’s disclosures against Akali leaders, mentioned his involvement in any other case” The Tribune has noted in it’s news report, suggesting that Punjab police’s recent action may have political motivations in wake of Jagdish Bhola’s allegations against Bikram Majithia.

“The recent developments indicate that Bhola is being booked in fresh cases” notes TT.
