The Tribune quotes undisclosed “sources” saying that “the police were now planning to bring [Jatar Singh] Tara on production warrant in a case registered at Goraya police station in 2012 under the Explosives Act, Arms Act and Prevention of Unlawful Activities Act”.

It is notable that all persons, including Bhai Kulvir Singh Barapind, who were charged by the police in this case have already been acquitted by the trial court.

Meanwhile, a Jalandhar court yesterday declined to entertain Bhogpur police’s plea to extend police remand of Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara. The court sent Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara to Ropar Jail under judicial custody for fourteen days.
