Shiv Sena’s Taran Tarn district president killed by his own relatives

Moga, Punjab (June 15, 2014): A District president of Shiv Sena was killed by his own relatives last late evening in Tarn Taran while his friend who came to rescue him was injured in the attack.

According to media reports, Tarn Taran District President (Urban) of Shiv Sena Angrej Singh was attacked when he was going home after shutting his shop at Mohalla Guru ka Khooh at around 10 pm on June 14, 2014.
Six of his relatives including Rajesh Kumar, Vicky, Manjit Kaur, Simran Kaur and Suman and Kartar Chand attacked at him with sharp-edged weapons, told the police.
His friend Boby came to rescue him but he was also attacked and was injured in the attack. Both were rushed to Guru Nanak Hospital Amritsar where Angrej Singh was declared dead. A case has been registered against six persons in the case, said SHO Taran Tarn Lakhvir Singh.
