Sikh political prisoners Baaz Singh likely to be released on premature release soon: Sangharsh Committee

Amritsar, Punjab: Bapu Surat Singh Sangharsh Committee today maintained that the Punjab government has passed orders of Bhai Baaz Singh’s release. Bhai Baaz Singh is jailed in Central Jail, Amritsar since 1993. Sangharsh committee maintains that the government has cleared premature release of Bhai Baaz Singh.

A post on “Bapu Surat Singh Sangharsh Jaari Hai” facebook page reads: “Delivering onto the promises made in meetings, Punjab administration released Bhai Baaj Singh from detention. With Akal Nadar and Ardaas of Sikh Sangat we now have Prof. Davinderpal Singh Bhullar transferred from Tihar, New Delhi to Amritsar, Bhai Gurdip Singh Khera transferred from Gulbarg, Karnataka to Amritsar, Bhai Wariyam Singh released in UP, Bhai Hardeep Singh released in Amritsar, and Bhai Baaj Singh released in Amritsar”.

While talking to the Sikh Siyasat over phone Bapu Surat Singh Sangharsh Committee member Bhawandeep Singh said that Punjab minister Dr. Daljeet Cheema informed him about Punjab government’s orders clearing release of Bhai Baaj Singh.

He said that Bhai Baaz Singh will be released in coming days.
