Patiala police today presented Jagtar Singh Tara in a local court after his five day remand expired. The police told the court that it needs more police remand of Jagtar Singh Tara to recover weapons from Nepal on the identification of Jagtar Singh Tara.
The prosecution sought two weeks’ police remand on the grounds that they had to thoroughly quiz Tara in connection with the Rulda Singh murder case to go into the whole conspiracy as Tara had allegedly imparted arms training to a main accused in the case while hiding in Pakistan.
