Chandigarh (October 28, 2013): According to information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), Sikh political leader Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu’s bail petition was allowed by Punjab and Haryana High Court after extensive arguments on October 28, 2013. Bhai Daljit Singh was booked by the Punjab police under notorious law called “Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act” for political reasons.

Jalandhar, Punjab (October 26, 2012): It is learnt that on October 25, 2012 Akali Dal Panch Pardhani leader Bhai Daljit Singh was produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate Daisy Bangar by a police party headed by Bimal Kumar, SHO of Division number 8 police station (Jalandhar). Police told the court to send Bhai Daljit Singh in judicial custody and did not sought further police remand.
