Human Rights body, Khalra Mission Organization, reportedly staged a protest outside office of Deputy Commissioner of Tarn Taran on February 18. A release by KMO says the protest sit-in was part of ongoing justice and awareness move, aimed at "exposing" violators of human rights.

His Name is Gurmail Bai (Gurmail Grewal). He recently died living easy life here in Canada. (Calgary/Edmonton). He was a regular caller at various radio station in Alberta where he presented himself as just and honest police officer. He would further proclaim his sympathy for various victim families and blamed all state atrocities on few bad apples in Punjab police. Which could not be furthest from truth.
Chandigarh/ Punjab (February 01, 2014): Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal is often accused by various Panthic/ Sikh groups for being opportunistic and further for adopting dual policies for his ulterior political gains. He is also blamed for 'playing politics' over sensitive Sikh issues including those concerning Sikh identity and mass level atrocities on Sikhs.
Amritsar, Punjab (January 31, 2014): As per information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) the Khalra Mission Organisation (KMO) demanded a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to be formed by the Badal government for probing the fake encounters and enforced disappearances by Punjab police and other Indian security forces during 1980s and 1990s.
Jalandhar, Punjab (July 16, 2013): The recent disclosures made by Punjab cop Sub-Inspector Surjit Singh has once again brought the issue of fake encounters and secret cremations in focus. Besides families of those murdered by SI Surjit Singh in fake encounters, family members of other persons killed by Punjab police in fake encounters are also coming out to narrate their stories and to seek justice for their kins killed by the police.
Jalandhar, Punjab (July 16, 2013): Even as the controversy over the Ishrat Jahan case rages on, the demand for families of those eliminated in fake encounters in Punjab during militancy days has resurfaced, especially after a cop recently made the 'revelation' that he had killed 83 persons in cold blood.
Amritsar, Punjab (November 26, 2012): Human rights bodies namely Human Rights Law Network (HRLN), Khalsa Mission Organization (KMO) and Punjab Human Rights Organization (PHRO) organized “One day consultation on Human Rights and Law” at Om International, Putlighar at Amritsar (Punjab).
Various Sikh religious, political and social organizations have requested Jathedar Akal Takht Gurbachan Singh to ensure that The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) implement edict against Sirsa based Dera Sauda Sirsa.
