Chandigarh (October 28, 2013): According to information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), Sikh political leader Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu’s bail petition was allowed by Punjab and Haryana High Court after extensive arguments on October 28, 2013. Bhai Daljit Singh was booked by the Punjab police under notorious law called “Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act” for political reasons.

New York, United States (October 28, 2013): It is learnt that India’s Congress party’s president Sonia Gandhi has retained a New York law firm to defend her in a US Federal Court in a case for filed by the victims of Sikh genocide 1984 and the Sikhs for Justice, a US based human rights and advocacy group, for protecting the perpetrators of the November 1984 Sikh genocide.

Chandigarh/ Punjab (October 28, 2013): It is learnt that a burial Jail cell, once inhabited by Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara and others, had not hosted any prisoner since the 2004 sensational jail break until this year. This year (2013) the Burail Jail authorities used this cell for housing inmates who were fasting for “navratras” (observed by Hindus) and “rozas” (observed by Muslims). According to Jail officials this made it easier for them to provide the food that was prepared specially for the inmates and had to be served at specific times.

US: 3 charged with Sikh-American gas-station attendant’s murder

New Jersey, USA (October 28, 2013): It is learnt that three men have been arrested and charged with the murder of a Sikh-American gas station attendant in the U.S. in a failed robbery bid. As per information Isaiah Williams, 24, Cordero Hodge, 22, and Jamell Pierce, 22, from New Jersey were charged few days back by the Gloucester county prosecutor’s office for murdering Surinder Singh.

What was Mrs Gandhi doing at that time when she was killing other people’s sons and husbands?… a place of worship which is worshipped by every Sikh…she goes, gives orders to demolish that place and kill people there. Australia: Sikh taxi driver sets example of honesty by returns bag with $110K

Melbourne, Australia (October 26, 2013): It is learnt that a Sikh cabbie in Australia set an example of honesty after he returned 110,000 Australian dollars (around Rs. 65 lakh) to a group of passengers who had left the cash in his taxi. The incident happened in Melbourne recently when the cab driver, Lakhwinder Singh Dhillon, was doing his job of picking and dropping passengers.
