A bench of acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Anu Malhotra granted the relief to Balwan Khokhar who has sought extension of bail till October to finalise the supposed sale of his properties.

Initially, he was given interim bail on July 20, which was extended till August 8. His application for extension was moved as the interim bail granted to him by the court on was expiring today. The main accuse of the Sikh killings Congress leader Sajjan Kumar had been acquitted off his involvement by the trial court, instead his junior partner in crime Balwan Khokhar was convicted along with four others, media sources said.
