Kirpan Issue: Sikhs likely to get limited relief in Italy

Italy: Sikhs residing in Italy are likely to get some relief on Kirpan issue, as the Italian authorities have reportedly agreed to allow to ‘limited size’ Kirpan at public places.
After holding a meeting with Italian authorities in this regard, Kamaljit Singh Dhillon said that the Sikh delegation has agreed with Italian authorities on the issue of size of Kirpan.
‘Authorities have agreed to allow Sikhs to wear upto 10 cm Kirpan at Public places in Italy’, said Kamaljit Singh.
Authorities have also agreed to allow registration of Sikh religion, he added.
