Chandigarh: While the countdown for the state assembly elections has began, on the hand the Badal-BJP alliance seems to have  been marred with inter party hostility and divide. As per the media reports emanating from Muktsar, the district BJP leadership on Monday boycotted the program of CM Parkash Singh Badal and Central Minister Harsimrat Kaur.

The BJP leadership was nowhere to be seen when the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal started with his poll campaigne on Monday from his Lambi constituency. The story was exact in Muktsar as well where Harsimrat Kaur was campaigning for SAD (Badal) candidate ‘Kanwarjit Singh’.

While talking to The Tribune the Muktsar BJP unit president Sandeep Girdhar stated “At first place we were not invited in any program of the SAD (Badal) in  the district. And if been invited , we wouldn’t have gone. We have already informed state BJP president Vijay Sampla of our decision of boycotting all programs of the Badal Dal for the insult meted out to us”.

This is not the first time that the district BJP has boycotted the programmes of SAD (Badal) bigwigs, The district unit has reportedly passed a resolution, resolving that not to campaign for SAD (Badal) candidates in Muktsar district said the media reports.
