Jammu/ Pathankot: The Sikh anger against yesterday’s police firing against the Sikh youths in Jammu spread to other parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier today, the Srinagar police reportedly arrested several Sikh youth who were holding a protest demonstration against police firing in Jammu in which a Sikh youth named Jagjit Singh had died (on June 4) and several others were injured.
Sources told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that Sikh sangat blocked Jammu-Delhi main highway to protest against yesterday’s firing incident. They demanded strong action against culprit police officers.
As per recent reports the Sikh sangat has also blocked Pathankot-Jammu main highway. Meanwhile the administration has blocked all internet services in Jammu.
Local Sikh leaders were expected to hold a press conference in Jammu this afternoon. Details of press conference were awaited at the time of writing this news.
