Simranjit Singh Mann writes to SGPC chief on Syllabus Issue; Says NCERT Serving RSS Agenda

Fatehgarh Sahib: Shriomani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) president Simranjit Singh Mann has written a letter to Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) chief Gobind Singh Longowal urging him to take initiative to bring syllabus of Punjab schools out of the preview of India’s National Council Of Educational Research And Training (NCERT) and bring it under Senior Cambridge O Level.

SAD (Mann) chief alleged that the NCERT was working as per directions of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) to implement their hindutva agenda.

He said that in wake of recent controversy over removal of chapters of Sikh history from class XII book published by Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), the SGPC should take initiative to bring Punjab schools out of the preview of NCERT.
