Amritsar, Punjab (January 10, 2013): Dal Khalsa has reportedly condemned the beheading of a Sikh Mohinder Singh, who was abducted by a militant group from his shop at Tabbai village of Khyber Agency in Pakistan on November 20, 2012.

Sikh groups criticized arrest of Sant Samaj leader Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal

Jalandhar/Amritsar, Punjab (December 27, 2012): It is learnt that Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), Khalsa Action Committee, Dal Khalsa and some other Sikh groups have condemned the arrest of Sikh preacher Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal. The organizations have reportedly warned the governments of Punjab and Haryana of an agitation if Baba Daduwal was not released.

Mann Dal to contest DSGMC elections on Khalistan issue

Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab (December 23, 2012): As per reports the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) led by former MP S. Simranjeet Singh mann will contest the upcoming Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) elections. DSGMC elections are scheduled to be held on January 27, 2013. The announcement is this regard has reportedly been made by party president Simranjit Singh Mann.

Amritsar, Punjab (December 09, 2012): It is learnt that the Akal Takhat Sewak Jatha, comprising various Sikh bodies, has entered an accord with the Dera Radha Swami Beas to secure the re-construction of a Gurudwara Sahib at Village Waraich near Beas, Punjab. The Gurudwara Sahib was demolished by Dera Beas after purchasing the land from village Panchayat to secure the expansion of dera.

He is scheduled to tour Canada and USA from August 8th onwards. The special visit by Sukhbir Badal has been organized for him to take part in the wedding of a relative of Surjit Rakhra to take place in the US. It has been learned that Parkash Badal will also be traveling to the United States to take part in the wedding ceremonies.
