The three-day Shaheedi Sabha at Chamkaur Sahib concluded with “Nagar Kirtan” by Nihang Singh on Friday (22 Dec).
Sikh Historian Bhai Ajmer Singh has shared a message with the Sikh Sangat with regard to Shaheedi Sabhas of Chamkaur Sahib and Fatehgarh Sahib explaining his perspective towards the objective and uniqueness of martyrdom (Shaheedi) in Sikhi.
The Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) has decided to set-up a museum at Chamkaur Sahib in the memory of Bhai Sangat Singh and other Shaheeds who had attained martyrdom at Chamkaur Sahib during the battle of Chamkaur.
As per media reports the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s conference at Chamkaur Sahib on the occasion Shaheedi Sabha attacked around three thousands people while the attendance at ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal)’s conference was below three hundred.
"Chamkaur Di Garhi", from where the unparalleled battle of Chamkaur Sahib, was fought by Guru Gobind Singh Ji with a handful of Singhs was sanding at Chamkaur Sahib till the first half of the last century but it was not able to see the present century.
