The District Development and Panchayat Office (DDPO) has been fighting legal battles for the past two decades to reclaim the land.

Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab (October 19, 2013): It is learnt that the advisory board of Guru Nanak Dev centre for Sikh music at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib organised its first meeting on October 14, 2013 on the premises of the campus, under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor, Dr Gurmohan Singh Walia. An encyclopaedia of Sikh music (Gurmat Sangeet), to be complted in a time period of 11 years, was also proposed on the occasion.
