Badal Dal’s so-called clean chit to Narendra Modi over Gujarat 2002 invite strong resentment

Jalandhar, Punjab (September 16, 2013): Even as Shiromani Akali Dal has sung hosannas to Narendra Modi, following the latter's nomination as PM candidate by the BJP, and has even given him a clean chit over the 2002 Gujarat genocide, certain Sikh and Human Rights organizations of Punjab have questioned Badal Dal's decision and clean chit to Narindra Modi.

Fake Encounters in Punjab – Family members of victims speak out for justice

Jalandhar, Punjab (July 16, 2013): The recent disclosures made by Punjab cop Sub-Inspector Surjit Singh has once again brought the issue of fake encounters and secret cremations in focus. Besides families of those murdered by SI Surjit Singh in fake encounters, family members of other persons killed by Punjab police in fake encounters are also coming out to narrate their stories and to seek justice for their kins killed by the police.

Fake Encounters – Victim families & Human Rights bodies to trigger legal fight for justice

Jalandhar, Punjab (July 16, 2013): Even as the controversy over the Ishrat Jahan case rages on, the demand for families of those eliminated in fake encounters in Punjab during militancy days has resurfaced, especially after a cop recently made the 'revelation' that he had killed 83 persons in cold blood.
