Indian intelligence agency named Intelligence Bureau (IB) has reportedly raised alarm with India’s Ministry of Home affairs about a spurt in the production of Punjabi films on stories related to ‘Ghallughara 1984’ and the aftermath.

The movie's plot was based in the events of 1980s-90s in Punjab and it was twice banned in India; firstly by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and then by state governments of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and the administration of Chandigarh.
Toronto, Canada (May 25, 2013): According to information shared by Canadian Sikh Coalition (CSC) the producers and actors of the recently released block buster hit Sadda Haq, Kuljinder Singh Sidhu and Dinesh Sood, will be visiting the city of Toronto and surrounding areas from May 28th to June 3rd.
Patiala, Punjab (May 16, 2013): In a strange move, Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana has criticized the “Sadda Haq” Punjabi movie. Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana, who is in jail and is believed not to have actually watched the movie, has alleged that the movie is an attempt to make Jagtar Singh Hawara a hero. He said that the story of movie is untrue.
