Four of the five cops, booked by the Sangrur and Barnala police involving use of arms, including an AK-47 rifle, by singer Sidhu Moosewala have now applied for anticipatory bail before a Sangrur court. Meanwhile Sidhu Moosewala still remains on the run.
Sidhu Moosewala was booked in two cases for firing at a police at two different places earlier this month. He was accompanied by Punjab police officials who had unauthorisedly arranged shooting practise for him.
Punjab police maintained that it acted promptly against ‘controversial Punjabi pop singer’ Sidhu Moose Wala and booked him after a video went viral showing Moosewala firing an AK47 with the help of police personnel.
As per reports, Punjab police have registered another FIR against Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala for violating curfew at Dhuri police station after his another video went viral on Tuesday.
Punjab police personnel allowed Sidhu Mossewala to use sophisticated automatic weapons and extended him help in shooting target in a training range. This venture took place at Badbar shooting range on May 4 amidst lockdown and curfew in Punjab. The shooting was arranged by a Punjab police DSP.
