Punjabi Cultural Council in its annual function honoured first turbaned Sikh Britain parliament member Tanmanjit Singh Dhesi with 'Punjab Gaurav Award'.
First Dastardhari Sikh parliamentarian Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi is visiting Punjab. He paid obeisance at the Darbar Sahib on Wednesday (July 26). Interacting with media person he said that he would make efforts for independent probe into British role in June 1984 attack on Darbar Sahib by Indian Army.
The two newly elected Sikh MPs Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi and Preet Kaur Gill started work on Monday (June 12), although Parliament officially opens next Monday.
