Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Appoints Manish Sisodia as Incharge of Party Affairs in Punjab

Chandigarh/ New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today announced to appoint Manish Sisodia as party’s Punjab in-charge.
“After assessment of prevailing political situation in the state of Punjab, the Political Affairs Committee of Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday has appointed senior party leader Manish Sisodia as Prabhari (In-charge) of Punjab”, reads a brief statement issued by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Notably, Sanjay Singh- Aam Aadmi Party’s previous appointee to the post had resigned in in April after the announcement of Punjab assembly election results. Since then AAP had not appointed anyone as ‘incharge’ of Punjab affairs.
The recent announcement regarding appointment of Manish Sisodia as incharge of Punjab affairs has come two days after the state municipal elections. In the local bodies’ elections held on Sunday (Dec. 17) AAP won in only one ward out of the total 414 wards.
