Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab (December 26, 2011): The Three-day Shaheedi Sabha in the memory of two younger Sahibzadas Guru Gobind singh and his mother Mata Gujri ji began on December 25 at Fatehgarh Sahib.
While the established political parties of Punjab are busy gearing up for another innings at the hustings early next year, two hard-line groups –the Dal Khalsa and Panch Pardhani have closed ranks and formed a single entity retaining the name “Dal Khalsa” to push and pursue their agenda of an independent and sovereign Punjab (Khalistan).
Dal Khalsa and Akali Dal Panch Pardhani announced unification on May 20 at Gurdwara Sahib, Sector 34, Chandigarh.

Sikh organizations, the Dal Khalsa and the Akali Dal Panch Pardhani, issued a written statement today regarding 10 November panthic gathering. The statement did not term the event as "Sarbat Khalsa". Both parties criticized the government for creating fear psychosis.
In a bid to project united front, the section of hardliners have urged the organizers of the Sarbat Khalsa to convene it at Akal Takhat on November 30 and build a consensus on its agenda so as to make it a grand success.
Expressing their deep concern over the fresh incident of sacrilege at village Maleke in Moga district, the Dal Khalsa and SAD Panch Pardani has observed that there looks much larger and deep rooted design behind these unfortunate incidents.

In an effort to shame the Indian rulers for failing not only to provide justice to Nov 1984 killings of Sikhs but also to provide a resolution to the political conflict of Punjab, the Dal Khalsa and the SAD (Panch Pardani) sought the right to self-determination as the only solution to ensure that carnages like November 1984 do not recur again. Taking a significant step, both the organizations resolved not to allow Gaini Gurbachan Singh to address the Sikh Sangat from the pious seat of Akal Takhat on Bandi Chorr Divas.
