World Sikh Organization of Canada welcomes Royal Assent to Bill-376 “An Act to Designate April as Sikh Heritage Month”. The Bill is now law and henceforth, April will be recognized as Sikh Heritage Month in Canada.
On Thursday, April 26th from 6pm-8pm, the City of Brampton will host its official Sikh Heritage Month reception, with NDP Federal Leader Jagmeet Singh confirmed as the keynote speaker.

Brampton (April 30, 2014): The World Sikh Organization of Canada congratulates the Sikh community of Ontario upon the conclusion of the first Sikh Heritage Month in the province. April 2014 marked the first time the month was celebrated in Ontario after the passing of Bill 52 the Sikh Heritage Month Act.
